Training Opportunity Programmes (TOPs)
TOPs courses are designed for adults who are currently:
- 18 years or older, and
- Unemployed (must be registered with Work and Income) and
- Have low or no qualifications or skills.
These FREE TrainMe courses make learning easy and help students gain the skills and qualifications to successfully obtain employment or move onto further training.
We have a wide range of TOPs courses to choose from, in a number of different locations.
Computer Training
Gain the National Certificate in Computing Level 2 and 3 to open doors into the world of administration, computing and office jobs.

English for Employment
The focus here is on providing English language learning to empower students to live with more independence in NZ, with the ultimate goal for them to gain employment.
- Learn basic conversational and grammar skills
- Learn how to find work in NZ
We now take students from beginner level upwards.

Welding Skills
Welding Skills is an excellent stepping stone into a job or an apprenticeship.
A Youth & Adult option with an introduction to:
- Learning how to use Gas, Arc, Mig, Tig and Oxyacetylene machines
- Downhand welding position
