Mechanical Engineering (Full-time)

Level 2

This course is taught by making projects (i.e. letterboxes, braziers, etc). You will cover tech drawing and calculations and the design and planning of metalwork projects. In the workshop, you will be hands-on in measuring, cutting, fabricating and welding. You will also gain job risk analysis and incident reporting!

This course requires day-time attendance Monday to Friday each week.

National Certificate in Welding

Level 3

This is a specialist welding course which follows on from the National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 2). You will learn the use of oxyacetylene, Mig, Tig, and Arc welders, along with stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel fabrication.

This course requires day-time attendance Monday to Friday each week.

Mechanical Engineering (Part-time)

Level 2

This course is taught by making projects (i.e. letterboxes, braziers, etc). You will cover tech drawing and calculations and the design and planning of metalwork projects. In the workshop, you will be hands-on in measuring, cutting, fabricating and welding. You will also gain job risk analysis and incident reporting!

This course is run over 2 nights per week and alternative weekends.
