About This Course

The course offers the opportunity to gain NCEA credits at Levels 2 and 3 as well as the fitness levels required for many uniformed roles.

Personal appearance such as hair and general tidiness will be monitored in line with the Security Industry standards.

During the course you will

  • Gain knowledge to operate electronic security equipment;
  • Gain knowledge to manage violence and personal safety;
  • Write incident reports;
  • Gain knowledge of various threats from terrorism in NZ and other countries;
  • Gain a basic knowledge of the various aspects of the Security Services Industry such as Retail Security, Cash in Transit, Document Destruction, Mobile Security, Static Guarding, Communication Centre Operators and liaison with the different Emergency Services.
